The two Buick convertibles will be participating in the 2025 Hot Rod Power Tour, traveling over 1,000 miles and will be available for public preview throughout the tour.  

*  *  *   The 1999 Bentley Arnage marked a pivotal moment in Bentley’s history, representing a bold step into modernity while retaining the brand’s hallmark luxury. Introduced in 1998 and continuing into 1999, the Arnage was the first new Bentley model in nearly two decades. It was developed during a transitional period when Bentley was under the ownership of Vickers, just before Volkswagen acquired the brand. 

Named after the iconic corner of the Le Mans circuit, the Arnage was initially powered by a BMW-sourced 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, chosen for its modern engineering and efficiency. This version, known as the Arnage Green Label, was praised for its smooth performance. Bentley also reintroduced its iconic 6.75-liter V8 engine, heavily revised and turbocharged, in the Arnage Red Label later in 1999.  

The 1999 Arnage featured a luxurious interior with fine wood veneers and leather, alongside modern electronics. It set the stage for Bentley’s resurgence in the 21st century, blending tradition with innovation and reaffirming its place in the ultra-luxury segment. As Motor Trend commented, “The 1999 Bentley Arnage delivers a stately presence with modern underpinnings, offering a unique driving experience that bridges old-world charm with contemporary performance.”
