OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE

Hagerty Marketplace is honored to offer another selection of vehicles from The SugarCreek Collection. This private collection in southwestern Ohio is supported by its own in-house restoration and maintenance shop, with a full-time staff of craftsmen. The garage is a true spectrum of car enthusiast dreams, ranging from unfinished restorations to the most recent sale of the SEMA-exhibited 1,000 HP 1962 Dodge Power Wagon, supporting the Mike Rowe WORKS Foundation. Thirty select cars from the collection are being offered just in time for spring. Whether awaiting restoration, preserved showroom stock, restored to like-new, or tastefully modified, these cars and trucks are truly SugarCreek quality.

***

The fourth-generation Lincoln Continental was based on a stretched version of a proposed Thunderbird two-door hardtop that had been rejected as too classy and not sporty enough for the typical Thunderbird buyer. Designers and engineers worked hard at making a new, distinctive, and profitable Lincoln, and they succeeded admirably with the 1961-69 Continental. Originally offered as a convertible, a two-door hardtop coupe version was added in 1966.

The 1969 Lincoln Continental marked the end of an era for the iconic luxury car. The exterior design remained largely unchanged from previous years, with subtle updates like a new checkerboard-style grille and mildly updated taillights, and the interior continued to offer opulent features such as leather and vinyl seats, plush carpeting, and advanced options like automatic climate control. Under the hood, the 1969 Continental was initially equipped with a 462 cubic inch V8 engine that produced 340 horsepower, but it was later replaced by the more powerful 460 cubic inch V8 delivering 365 hp.

This 1969 Lincoln Continental Hardtop Coupe is distinct from the new two-door Continental Mark III, which was introduced the same year.
