Description

First offered in 1966, Ford touted the Bronco as a vehicle that was ready to do “what you want to do … where you want to do it.” The original four-wheel-drive Ford Bronco — built as a direct competitor to the International Scout — was introduced in 1966 and earned a loyal following from new. Interest increased in the central plains states and the American west, while Broncos also sold rapidly in the northern states, being a perfect get-around vehicle in the winter and a maneuverable platform for a small snowplow.

Clever details like front fenders with raised edges to allow for clear visibility during articulating movements gave the Bronco an advantage over its competition. Rugged, utilitarian, simple to maintain, and powerful where it counts, these first-generation Broncos were available in several body styles, including this Wagon. Among the Bronco's standard features were three-speed manual and automatic transmissions, a through-drive two-speed transfer case, Mono-Beam front suspension, 11x2-inch front drum brakes, folding windshield, heater, and defroster.

This 1966 Ford Bronco has recently been refurbished and upgraded with Ford 289 V8 power, new suspension with lift kit, a refreshed bucket seat interior with air conditioning, and striking Lamborghini Rosso Vik paint.
