Tigé Boats, a U.S. manufacturer of high-performance wake and ski boats, was founded by Charlie Pigeon in 1991. Pigeon, a veteran of the boating industry with experience at MasterCraft and Malibu Boats, quickly made a name for himself and his growing company with groundbreaking innovations. In 1995, Tigé introduced TAPS (Tigé Adjustable Performance System), a hull-trimming system that allowed users to customize wake shapes. That was followed by the TAPS2 and Convex V hull in 2003, which further enhanced wave control for wakeboarding and wakesurfing.
The 2014 Tigé Z3 23-foot wake boat was designed to cater to both professional and recreational riders. Its newest offering was ConvexVX hull extension, a fiberglass wing that enhanced the boat’s surf wave by increasing its size and cleaning up turbulence. The V8-powered Z3 also featured Tigé’s TigéTouch system, a user-friendly touchscreen interface that controlled everything from speed and ballast to lighting and wake-shaping devices.
With its sleek design, diamond-stitched upholstery, and matte finishes, the 2014 Tigé Z3 wasn’t just a high-performance machine — it was a statement of luxury and innovation in the wake boat market. And with seating for up to 16 passengers, it is still ideal for long days on the water with family and friends.
