“We really wanted to make the SA-40 special, and I think we have by creating the best looking and highest performing Saleen Mustang to date,” said Steve Saleen, Founder of Saleen Automotive. The 2023 Saleen SA-40 Speedster was unveiled to commemorate Saleen Automotive’s 40th anniversary and serve as a send-off to the sixth-generation S550 Mustang. Limited to just 10 units, the SA-40 is based on the Saleen 302 Black Label convertible and features a supercharged 5.0-liter Coyote V8 producing 800 horsepower and 660 lb-ft torque. Finished in Speedlab Yellow with black and white accents, it includes a custom tonneau cover with dual carbon-fiber hoops, unique wheels, Saleen Racecraft suspension, and Saleen brakes.

Inside, the SA-40 boasts a bespoke 40th anniversary interior package. The SA-40 also supported cancer research through a partnership with Cruise for a Cause, with one unit offered via sweepstakes to raise awareness and funds.

As a tribute to Saleen’s legacy of high-performance Mustangs dating back to 1984, “The SA-40 is the pinnacle of design for this generation of Saleen 302s based off the S550 platform,” said the company. And this 1-of-10 SA-40 Speedster shows just 200 miles from new — and still wears its original Saleen window sticker on the windshield, exactly as it left Saleen’s Specialty Vehicle Operations.

This SA-40 Speedster is now offered by the selling dealer with a clean CARFAX history report, car cover, Saleen Retrospective history book and clean Florida title.
