In Car and Driver magazine’s test of the 2022 BMW M4 Competition with its newly added xDrive all-wheel-drive system, its reviewers achieved a phenomenal zero-to-60 time of 2.8 seconds. The $4,100 option enabled the M4 Competition to effectively transfer all 503 horsepower from its twin-turbocharged inline-six to all four wheels via a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission, resulting in supercar acceleration and a 0.8-second faster zero-to-60 time than the rear-drive-only model. With a base price of $79,995, the 2022 BMW M4 Competition xDrive joined an exclusive club of sub-$100,000 performance offerings capable of a sub-three-second zero-to-60 time. However, that price could easily exceed $100,000 with a bevy of performance and technology packages available, like the well-appointed example presented here.

Ownership History
