Description

In 2013, NASCAR unveiled the most significant redesign of its stock cars since the Car of Tomorrow made its debut in 2007. The new regulations, termed Generation 6, would allow car manufacturers to design a brand new body on the CoT chassis that better resembled their street-legal counterparts that fans could purchase and drive – staying true to the expression "Win on Sunday, sell on Monday." Ford initially derived its styling from the Ford Fusion, later making a Ford Mustang bodystyle available to teams, while power came from the venerable Ford C3 Roush Racing 358 cu-in V8 rated at an astonishing 741 horsepower. In addition to being 160 pounds lighter than the Car of Tomorrow, Gen-6 cars also gained forward roof and center roof support bars to reinforce integrity while improving driver safety. Ownership History

The NASCAR Cup Car was built in 2021 by RFK Racing as a show car utilizing an experimental Roush chassis from 2013. The consignor acquired the car in 2022.
