Description
“These are the best Mustangs I have ever built,” said Steve Saleen at the introduction of the Ford Mustang Saleen S302 in February 2015. “We are in for a thrill ride, as this car will take us to levels we have never seen before.” As the book The Complete Book of the American Muscle Supercar explained, "The event was more than the release of yet another Saleen supercar. It was the culmination of a 30-year ride filled with triumphs, accolades, challenges — and rebirth."
The 2020 Ford Mustang GT Saleen S302 Yellow Label was built on the foundation of the Mustang GT, with the S302 Yellow Label representing the mid-range option in Saleen’s three-tier lineup — White, Yellow, and Black — and striking a balance between raw power and daily drivability.
Introduced as a supercharged variant, the Yellow Label boasts a 5.0-liter Coyote V8 engine enhanced with a twin-screw supercharger, producing an impressive 740 horsepower and 610 lb-ft of torque. Saleen also upgraded the suspension, brakes, and aerodynamics, while adding distinctive styling cues like custom wheels, a high-downforce rear wing, and Saleen badging. Inside, the car features Saleen-branded leather seats, unique gauges, and a serialized dash plaque.
