Introduced for the 2011 model year and refined for 2012, the GT’s headline feature was the new 5.0-liter “Coyote” V8, reviving a legendary badge while delivering 412 horsepower and improved efficiency. Built on Ford’s S197 platform, the 2012 model emphasized better handling through chassis tuning and advanced traction control. Styling paid homage to late-1960s Mustangs with a long hood and aggressive stance.

This 2012 Mustang GT Coupe Premium was sold new at Mac Haik Ford of Houston, Texas, and was acquired by the seller in October 2024. The 5.0L V8 features a retuned ECU, and the factory transmission has been replaced by a TREMEC 6-speed manual.

A GT500-sourced exhaust system is fitted, and additional modifications to the drivetrain include a heavy-duty clutch, aluminum driveshaft, and a limited-slip Currie 9” rear end. A BMR K-member is joined by an aftermarket bracing, Koni rear shocks, and an adjustable Panhard bar.
