Among its standout variants was the Z06, introduced in 2005 as the lightest Corvette model. Powered by the LS7 engine, a groundbreaking 7.0-liter V8 delivering 505 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque, the Z06 showcased General Motors' engineering prowess. Its construction featured lightweight materials such as aluminum and magnesium alloy, resulting in a substantial 136-pound reduction compared to the standard frame. Carbon fiber components and titanium connecting rods further underscored its performance-focused design ethos. 

Aerodynamic enhancements, including enlarged front and rear fenders and strategically placed intake scoops, not only improved airflow dynamics but also enhanced brake cooling during high-performance driving. This car was reported stolen on 5 July 2023 and has since been recovered, prior to it being recovered and now being owned by Hagerty (more details in the Ownership History section below). It is now offered with a clean title, a fresh service, and without reserve!

Ownership History 

The accompanying CARFAX Vehicle History Report shows that this 2012 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 was initially sold by Steve Moore Chevrolet of Charlotte, North Carolina, on 14 April 2012. The car remained with the original owner until 20 September 2022, when the second owner purchased it with just under 13,000 miles.  

This car was insured by Hagerty before it was reported stolen from the insured’s garage on 5 July 2023. It was recovered on 10 October 2023, and the owner opted to receive a full payout of the car’s value. Hagerty now owns the vehicle, and it is being offered with a clean title and without reserve.
