The Jaguar XK carries on the British company’s storied sports car traditions with a race-derived heart clothed in beautiful, lightweight bodywork. The supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine in the high-performance XKR is a marvel of engineering, delivering a muscular 510 horsepower (125 more than the standard XK) and is capable of sprinting from zero to 60 mph in a mere 4.6 seconds while offering one of the most melodious V8 sounds ever heard. The automatic transmission is equally impressive, with lightning-fast paddle shifts for maximum driver involvement. The all-aluminum construction delivers high strength and rigidity in a lightweight package. Its monocoque bodyshell is a critical element in its performance, offering precise handling that results in shorter stopping distances, faster acceleration, and better fuel efficiency than a steel body.
