Description
In response to inquiries about the potential for a CTS-V wagon in 2009, then GM Vice Chairman Bob Lutz expressed openness to the idea, stating that if demand warranted it, there was no reason why they couldn't produce a V-Series wagon. Subsequently, General Motors unveiled a five-door sport wagon variant of the CTS-V at the New York International Auto Show on 29 March 2010. Sharing many features with the CTS-V sedan and coupe, the CTS-V wagon boasted a powerful 556 horsepower engine paired with a six-speed manual or automatic transmission, Magnetic Ride Control, Brembo brakes, 19-inch aluminum wheels with performance tires, and distinctive dual-airflow grille. With an impressive 0-60 time of 4.0 seconds, the CTS-V wagon also demonstrated its performance capabilities with a quarter-mile time of 11.97 seconds at 116.9 mph. Notably, in May 2008, a 2009-model CTS-V sedan set a lap time of 7:59.32 at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, marking the fastest documented time for a sedan production at the time. This potent blend of six-speed manual performance blended with a sleek and practical wagon may never emerge from Cadillac again, ensuring that it will continue to attract the attention of enthusiasts for years to come.
