Description
Slotting in between the 300-horsepower 335i and the 414-horsepower M3, the limited-production BMW 335is featured the same pleasing E90-generation lines, along with a retractable hardtop that stowed for top-down cruising in only 22 seconds.
Upgrading to 335is trim provided a high-performance version of the automaker's N54 twin-turbocharged 3.0L inline six cylinder. That boosted mill made 320 horsepower, along with 332 lb-ft of torque — 370 lb-ft for seven seconds with the overboost feature engaged. Oil and water coolers complemented the engine’s added output, and the M3’s lightning-quick seven-speed Double Clutch Transmission (DCT) with paddle shifters sent power to the rear wheels.
The M Sport’s body kit, aggressive 18-inch Double Spoke wheels, and black chrome air intake grilles, side-view mirror caps, and exhaust pipes gave this 3 Series a sinister look. And the luxurious interior was enhanced with sport seats, a unique instrument cluster, an M Sport steering wheel, steel pedals, and special 335is badging. Car and Driver’s track test concluded with, “A few laps revealed this car to be exactly what’s suggested by the spec sheet: a powerful 3-series with a fantastic soundtrack…the balance, the predictability, and the unflappable poise that make the 3-series one of our favorite cars are all there in spades.”
This 335is droptop wears Alpine White paint and Black Dakota leather with Dark Glacier Aluminum trim. It has the Premium and Cold Weather packages, has only traveled 17k miles from new, and is equipped with the 7-speed DCT gearbox.
This 2011 BMW 335is Convertible is now offered by the selling dealer with a CARFAX vehicle history report and a clean Pennsylvania title in.
