1,800-Mile 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS SLP ZL550 Coupe

Description

Street Legal Performance (SLP), which made a name for itself supercharging third and fourth-generation F-body Camaros, quickly introduced performance packages for the all-new fifth-generation Camaro when it debuted for the 2010 model year. Among them was the ZL550, a limited-edition package including an SLP TVS 2300 high-output supercharger which increased the L99 6.2-liter V8 engine’s output to 550 horsepower. Supporting equipment included a Loud Mouth cat-back exhaust system, SLP Blackwing cold air induction system, SLP Sport Suspension package, and a bespoke ground effects package. This particular ZL550 was specially equipped with SLP’s Stage III package which included a 2.5-inch diameter supercharger pulley providing 5 psi of boost, a larger idler pulley, and 65-lb/hr fuel injectors developing 650 horsepower on 91 octane or higher.

Modified from new, the automatic transmission version was limited to only 250 examples, this car, production number 75, is reportedly the last production ZL550 built and is offered in like-new condition with only 1,886 miles shown at the time of listing. With a supercharger similar to that in the C6 ZR1 Corvette, numerous performance modifications, and limited production, this ZL550 presents an opportunity to acquire a remarkably preserved example of a rare, highly upgraded Camaro.

Ownership History

This Camaro SS SLP ZL550 Coupe was delivered new to Wally Edgar Chevrolet in Lake Orion, Michigan. The original owner is said to have ordered 20 SLP ZL550s, this being the last production example of its kind. The accompanying CARFAX Vehicle History Report shows that the car was relocated to North Dakota in 2018 where it was acquired by the consignor showing only 400 miles at the time.
