Introduced in late 2007 to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the Porsche Design Studio, the Cayman S Design Edition 1 was a limited-edition special series produced in a single color — Gloss Black — with an exclusive suite of cosmetic enhancements inside and out. Just 777 examples were built for worldwide markets, with 240 allocated to North America, making it one of the rarest variants of the 987-generation Cayman.

Finished in Black featuring matte center stripes and commemorative side decals, the Design Edition 1 came standard with 19” Turbo wheels, heated front sport seats, and black leather and Alcantara interior trim. The gauge cluster, door sills, embossed headrests, and color-matched exterior side intakes are specific to the DE1 trim.

Acquired by the seller in 2023, this '08 Cayman S Design Edition 1 is powered by a 3.4L flat-six engine paired with a six-speed manual transaxle, now showing approximately 57,200 miles.
