2007 Ford Mustang GT California Special Convertible

Description

In 1968, California’s high-volume dealerships pushed Ford to build a special Mustang appearance package unique to the Golden State. The limited-run, coupe-only GT/CS California Special Mustang was the result, and luckily, it was also sold outside of California.

And in 2007, Ford brought the GT/CS back. Optional on the V8-powered Mustang GT Premium coupe or convertible, the GT California Special Package was available in Vista Blue, Performance White, Redfire, and Black. It looked more aggressive, and somehow more approachable, than the regular GT. The unique touches started up front, with a wide fascia and a lower chin spoiler. Polished 18-inch rims were complemented by long side scoops and mid-body GT/CS stripes, and a racing-inspired diffuser and rolled exhaust tips enhanced the rear end. Dark Charcoal leather-trimmed seats with leather inserts and unique floor mats added style to the interior. Just like in 1968, 2007 production numbers were low with just over 8,500 GT/CS versions built that year.

This garage-kept 2007 GT California Special convertible is both rare and sleek. It wears the GT Appearance Package, as well as a monochromatic look with black paint, a black top, and a black satin stripe, along with a dark interior.
