The Honda S2000, a sleek front-mid engine roadster, epitomizes sports car excellence. Unveiled as the SSM concept at the 1995 Tokyo Motor Show, it hit the roads on 15 April 1999, celebrating Honda’s 50th anniversary. Named for its 2.0-liter engine, the "S" denotes its sporting heritage, continuing the legacy of the S500, S600, and S800 roadsters from the 1960s.

Throughout its decade-long production run, from 1999 to 2009, the S2000 underwent several enhancements. It was initially launched as the AP1 model, but later revisions led to the AP2 variant, featuring upgraded drivetrain and suspension. With an astonishing 124 horsepower per liter, it held the title of the highest specific power output for a mass-produced, naturally aspirated car until 2010. This remarkable feat made the S2000 not just a car, but a symbol of Honda’s relentless pursuit of performance and precision in sports car design.

Ownership History 

The CARFAX Vehicle History Report shows the car was first sold at Ed Voyles Honda on 14 April 2006. It remained with its original owner until November 2016, when it was sold to the second owner in South Carolina. From the car moved to North Carolina in August 2019, with the current owner purchasing the car in April 2024.
