Description

The Honda S2000 AP2, introduced in 2004, built upon the legacy of the original AP1 with a host of refinements aimed at improving drivability and comfort without compromising the car’s raw, high-revving spirit. Central to the AP2 is the F22C1 engine—a 2.2-liter naturally aspirated inline-four with dual overhead cams and Honda’s revered Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control (VTEC). Producing 237 horsepower at 7,800 rpm and 162 lb-ft of torque, the F22C1 offered a broader torque curve than its predecessor, making the AP2 more tractable in everyday driving while still thrilling at high revs.

The AP2 retained the notchy and direct six-speed manual transmission and Torsen limited-slip differential but featured revised suspension geometry and improved dampers for enhanced ride quality and handling precision. The chassis continued to deliver near-perfect 50/50 weight distribution, and the S2000 remained a benchmark for lightweight, rear-wheel-drive roadsters—as it still does to this day.

This 2006 Honda S2000 is finished in Suzuka Blue Metallic over a complementing blue leather interior and shows approximately 73,161 miles. The car is reported to be in good mechanical and aesthetic condition with recent service including a new convertible top, clutch, and clutch hydraulics.
