The flared fenders were created using an innovative stamping process called Inverted Toggle Draw, which eliminates stretching of the steel during manufacturing.  

Under the hood is a Vortec 5.3-liter V8 engine, producing 300 horsepower and 335 lb-ft of torque. This engine was paired with a four-speed automatic transmission, delivering a 0-60 mph time of approximately 7.5 seconds. Inside, the SSR offers leather bucket seats, a six-way power driver seat, and a two-way power passenger seat. The interior design combines comfort with a sporty feel, including features like a multi-function steering wheel and optional auto-dimming mirrors.
