Description

To honor the late Dale Earnhardt who spent the majority of his NASCAR career behind the wheel of a Monte Carlo, Chevrolet partnered with Childress Racing and the Earnhardt family to produce a special version of the iconic model. Bearing Earnhardt’s nickname on the rear decklid, the “Intimidator” was based on the sixth-generation Monte Carlo SS platform, utilizing its bulletproof 200-horsepower 3.8-liter V6 powerplant. The package also included ground effects, a NASCAR-inspired ducktail spoiler, 16-inch wheels, and sport suspension. Finished in Dale’s instantly recognizable black and silver livery, only 3,333 examples were produced in 2002 and quickly snatched up by NASCAR fans, making them highly sought-after collectibles today.
