The Honda S2000, introduced in 1999 to celebrate Honda’s 50th anniversary, was a modern homage to the brand’s classic S-series roadsters of the 1960s. At its core was the F20C engine—a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated inline-four with dual overhead cams and Honda’s variable valve timing system (VTEC). Producing 240 horsepower and 153 lb-ft of torque, the F20C held the record for the highest specific output of any naturally aspirated production engine at the time. With a 9,000 rpm redline and a 0–60 mph time of approximately 5.5 seconds, the S2000 delivered a thrilling, high-revving driving experience. 

Standard equipment included a six-speed manual transmission, Torsen limited-slip differential, and a power-operated convertible top. The chassis was praised for its ideal 50/50 weight distribution and razor-sharp handling, making it a favorite among enthusiasts and journalists alike. 

This low-mileage 2001 Honda S2000 is finished in striking Silverstone Metallic over black leather and shows approximately 47,600 claimed original miles. The seller reports everything works as it should and the car remains largely original with the exception of aftermarket 17-inch wheels.

Since then, it has resided in North Carolina, where the seller claims the vehicle has consistently passed the state’s annual inspection requirements.
