Description
The Ferrari 456, available in both manual GT and automatic GTA variants, represented a modern evolution of Ferrari’s classic 2+2 grand tourers. Launched in the U.S. in 1995, the 456 was a technological tour de force, yet also marked a return to Ferrari’s traditional front-engine, rear-wheel-drive configuration.
The GTA’s tubular-steel frame, auto-leveling A-arm suspension, and massive disc brakes underpinned a sensuous, Pininfarina-styled aluminum body. Elegant and aggressive, it blended sleek lines and sharp creases. And its interior greeted occupants with high-end leather and polished brightwork, earning it praise for its unique blend of luxurious comfort and spaciousness.
And while a quiet, roomy cabin was soothing, running the 5.5-liter, dual overhead cam V12 to its 7,250-rpm redline was addictive. Motor Trend testers exclaimed, “Plant your right foot and the luxo-Ferrari transforms into an unholy she-beast from another dimension, lunging off the line with the urge of big-cube torque and rocketing its 3,898 pounds to 60 mph in 4.9 seconds.”
This 1997 Ferrari 456 GTA is finished in uncommon Rosso Monza paint, and has only traveled 32,389 miles since new. And with a total of 631 built — with only a handful imported in the U.S. — this 456 GTA is exceedingly rare.

Ownership History
The accompanying CARFAX Vehicle History Report places this two-owner 1997 Ferrari 456 GTA in Florida, New York, and Illinois.
The consignor states, “I purchased the car in March 2009 with 28,000 miles, and it now shows around 32,500 miles. I’ve only put on around 5,000 summer-driven miles in the last 16 years — this Italian beauty deserves to be driven more often!”
“I have no record of the timing belts being changed before my ownership. I assumed they had as I’ve had no issues with the engine, but I want to be fully transparent. This is not just a great-looking vehicle, it’s a rare opportunity to own a piece of Ferrari history with style, soul, and serious presence.”
This 456 GTA is offered with a clean Illinois title in the name of the seller's business.
