Description

As a final goodbye to the outgoing third-generation “Fox body” Mustang, Ford’s Special Vehicle Team (SVT) revived the Cobra nameplate for the 1993 model year. The decade that followed saw the Mustang SVT Cobra and its requisite snake badge come to represent a range-topping high-performance variant with more power and improved handling over the base and GT models. In 1996, Ford equipped the fourth-generation SN-95 Mustang with their all-new 4.6-liter modular aluminum V8 – bumping output to 305 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque. On the outside, the SVT Cobra received unique 17-inch wheels, integrated front driving lights, and twin hood bulges giving it a distinctively aggressive appearance. Today, fourth-generation Mustangs have come into their own as modern collectibles, making well-kept performance variants like this convertible all the more desirable.
