Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
The 1996 Corvette Collector Edition marked the final year of the C4 generation with a unique and rare expression of the beloved Corvette.
Available as a coupe or convertible, the Collector Edition was distinguished by striking Sebring Silver paint, five-spoke ZR-1-style wheels, unique sport seats with embroidered headrests, and special badging that made it stand out in a classy, understated way. Power was supplied by Corvette’s torquey 5.7L LT1 V8, backed by a four-speed automatic or six-speed manual transmission. Combined with a superb fully independent suspension, powerful disc brakes, and smooth rack and pinion steering, the Collector Edition was a capable and fitting end to C4 production. After testing one, Motor Trend concluded, “The Collector Edition is a car for serious enthusiast drivers… Take it out on the road, put the pedal down and celebrate.”
This example shows under 50,000 miles, and is equipped with the LT1 V8 backed by a four-speed automatic transmission. It has been fitted with Borla mufflers, carbon fiber-style trim, and higher numerical gearing in its rear differential.
This 1996 Chevrolet Corvette Collector Edition coupe is now offered by the selling dealer with a clean CARFAX history report, and a clean Florida title.
