The 1996 Chevrolet Corvette marked the final and most refined year of the fourth generation (C4) Corvette, produced from 1984 to 1996. For its send‑off year, Chevrolet offered both the proven LT1 V8 and the special high‑performance LT4 V8.

By 1996, the Corvette benefited from years of chassis refinement, improved suspension tuning, and better build quality compared to early C4 models.
