The Honda Acty, short for “Activity,” and its highly capable Attack variant were introduced by Honda in 1977 as a series of Japanese-market Kei vans and trucks. Beloved for their compact size, reliability, and remarkable versatility, Kei vehicles have seen a rapid rise in popularity in the United States as earlier models like the Acty have surpassed the 25 year import exemption. Coming in various forms, the Acty has found use as everything from a narrow, easily maneuverable work van in urban centers to an off-roading vehicle on farms and other rough terrain thanks to available four-wheel drive in some models. As an Attack model, this particular Acty was intended specifically for use in demanding off-road situations as it was equipped from the factory with a rarely seen locking rear differential as well as Ultra-Low forward and reverse gears as part of its five-speed manual transmission. Today, this highly coveted Attack variant stands apart from its counterparts for its impressive off-roading capabilities.
