Only 14 years after the 110-horsepower 1979 Supra debuted, Toyota created a masterpiece: the 1993 Supra Turbo. The fourth-generation Supra was sleek and sensuous — with many a sports car driver memorizing its rear styling as this twin-turbocharged monster accelerated away from them.

2JZ is one of the most recognizable engine designations in the world, and for good reason: this 3.0-liter six cylinder’s inline design is naturally balanced, and its sturdy iron block and forged rotating assembly combined with dual overhead cams and a 24-valve aluminum head to produce 320 horsepower. But in truth, tripling this car’s horsepower would cause no ill effects to that beefy block.

Back in 1993, few could believe the Supra’s performance numbers: 4.6 seconds to 60, and 13 seconds flat in the quarter mile at 109 mph. Factor in .95g of lateral grip and a 70-to-0 stop of only 160 feet — wearing 1990s tires — and the legendary MKIV Supra was one of the most feared sports cars of the decade.

All original!” 

“The spoilers were installed at the dealership after delivery on these vehicles. We purchased the vehicle en route to the dealership and elected not to have the spoiler installed, but still have the original spoiler to go with the vehicle.”
