Description

The E34-generation 1991 BMW M5 marked the BMW Motorsports-modified model's return to the U.S. market following a two-year absence. Powered by a hand-assembled and technician-signed 3.6-liter S38 inline-six producing 310 horsepower when new, the E34 M5 came exclusively with a 5-speed manual transmission. Standard equipment included a self-leveling rear suspension, limited-slip differential, and a sport-tuned chassis that set it apart from the standard 5-Series on which it was based.

Finished in Jet Black over Black nappa leather upholstery, this 1991 M5 features power-operated heated front sport seats, veneer dashboard and door trim accents, a power-operated sunroof panel, and automatic climate control. Since acquiring it in 2022 reportedly following long-term ownership by a neighbor, the seller is said to have serviced the suspension, adjusted the valves, replaced fluids and belts, and installed a Super Sprint cat-back exhaust system.

This 1991 BMW M5 was purchased by the seller in 2022 from a neighbor, who reportedly owned the vehicle for 18 years prior.

From the seller, "When I purchased the car, the South Dakota title showed 79,233 in 2001. The previous owner never registered the car in Wisconsin, and the plate that was on the car expired in June 2001. I took a picture at the gas station about a mile away on the day I bought the car, the odometer showed 79,527. The car had only been driven 294 miles in 21 years!"
