Filling the gap left by the revered E-Type in Jaguar’s line-up, the XJ-S was initially  misunderstood upon its introduction in 1975. The XJ-S was in fact more of an elegant GT, with its pillowy independent suspension adopted from the XJ12 and smooth, fuel-injected V12 engine wrapped in an aerodynamic package. Thanks to an incredible 21-year production run, the model has benefited from multiple transformative facelifts and mechanical improvements, solidifying its reputation as a defining status symbol of the 1980’s. The 1990 XJ-S Convertible offered here is a generously appointed example of the British classic, ready for open-top touring to the soundtrack of the majestic V12.
