Description
Introduced in 1988 and continuing through 1991, the third generation Honda Prelude marked a significant evolution in the car's design and performance philosophy. The 1989 Prelude 2.0Si was the performance-oriented model, powered by a 2.0-liter DOHC B20A5 inline-four engine, producing around 135 horsepower. This engine, paired with a five-speed manual transmission, delivered a spirited driving experience that appealed to enthusiasts and commuters alike.
One of the standout features of the 1989 2.0Si was its double wishbone suspension at all four corners — a rarity in its class — which provided exceptional handling and ride quality. Visually, the Prelude 2.0Si featured a sleek, wedge-shaped body with pop-up headlights, low hood line, and driver-focused cockpit. Inside, it offered amenities like power windows, sunroof, and premium audio system, reflecting Honda’s growing emphasis on comfort and technology.
This well-kept 1989 Honda Prelude 2.0Si is all original except for the rims, which are from a Civic, and the air conditioning, which has been converted to R134 refrigerant.
