RADwood Ready

RADwood is a festival that focuses on the culture and vehicles of the 1980s and 1990s. RADwood, and the “RADwood Era” are now commonly used to reference this period of bodacious automotive history.

Hagerty took stewardship of RADwood in March of 2022 to build on the company’s purpose to save driving and car culture while expanding and supporting inspiring experiences for automotive enthusiasts.

• Finished in two-tone Silver Clearcoat Metallic over Medium Charcoal Clearcoat Metallic over a Charcoal leather interior

• Retained by its original owner for 37 years until December 2022

• Under the current ownership, the alternator and all the accessory drive belts were replaced, in addition to completing an oil change, with the work being completed by the owner

• The accompanying Carfax reports that the Toyo Extensa A/S 225/60R15 tires were installed at just over 99,000 miles in 2018

• The 2.3-liter overhead cam turbocharged inline-four-cylinder generating a crisp 155 horsepower is paired with a close ratio five-speed manual transmission

• Performance instrument cluster with a full suite of gauges, including a turbo boost gauge

• The ignition module was replaced with an MSD coil

Ownership History

This 1985 Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe was bought new in California and would stay with the original owner for over 30 years. The seller purchased the car from the original owner in December 2022 and still remains in California today.
