Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
This 1977 Porsche 911 Cabriolet has been extensively modified to reflect the style and spirit of the later 964 generation, blending classic air-cooled engineering with updated aesthetics and performance. Featuring a 1989 body style and a rebuilt 3.0-liter air-cooled flat-six engine (claimed to be from a 1983 model year 911), this example offers a unique take on the classic 911. The engine, installed in 2021, has reportedly seen less than 2,000 miles of use since its rebuild.
Originally finished in Copper Brown Metallic, the car was painted black before undergoing refurbishment by the current owner. The seller had a body shop in Northern California refurbish the car in 2018, where it was subsequently repainted back to its original color. The convertible top was also replaced, and various components were refreshed to ensure reliability and drivability. Inside, the cabin features black leather seats, panels, and dashboard—an aesthetic choice made prior to the color restoration. This 911 offers a unique blend of classic and modern-classic air-cooled characteristics.
