Description

OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE

The 1977 Pontiac Grand Prix was the final model year of its generation, representing a peak in personal luxury coupe styling. Built on GM’s G-body platform, this two-door hardtop featured an attractive long hood, short deck design with a formal roofline and opera windows.

The Grand Prix emphasized comfort and style, with a plush interior featuring a wraparound instrument cluster, as well as a full suite of power and convenience options. Popular upgrades included the optional sunroof and supportive bucket seats with center console.

The Grand Prix came in three trims, offered V8s like Pontiac’s 301 and 350 and Oldsmobile’s 403, and utilized a Turbo-Hydramatic automatic transmission. Despite tightening emissions regulations and fuel economy concerns, the 1977 model retained strong sales, with over 288,000 units produced. It marked the end of an era before downsizing appeared in 1978, making it a significant milestone in Pontiac’s history.

This 1977 Grand Prix received a recent cosmetic refresh, including new custom two-tone paint, new rims and tires, and updated carpet and brightwork.

Ownership History

The consignor states, “This Grand Prix has the original 350 engine and the original 350 Turbo transmission. I was specifically told that the miles displayed are the actual mileage, and have a signed title found in the glove box. This vehicle was stored in a garage for many years.”

“The paint and bodywork is approximately three years old, it was a pretty straight car before I had it painted the original silver, then added the black two tone. The vehicle has brand new rims and tires with probably less than 500 miles on them, and the interior carpet is newer. Everything else inside is original equipment.”
