Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
The 1976 Triumph TR6 marked the final year of production for one of Britain’s most iconic sports cars. Introduced in 1968 by Triumph Motor Company, the TR6 was designed to appeal to the American market. It featured a robust 2.5-liter inline-six engine and a classic, muscular roadster profile. Its bodywork, styled by German firm Karmann, retained the traditional British sports car aesthetic while modernizing the front and rear ends.
By 1976, the TR6 had undergone several refinements, including improved suspension and interior updates, but retained its core mechanical identity. The U.S. version featured dual Stromberg carburetors and produced around 104 horsepower. The car was praised for its torquey engine, responsive handling, and straightforward maintenance. Over 94,000 units were produced, with the vast majority exported to North America.
This low-mileage 1976 Triumph TR6, which was repainted red by a previous owner, is powered by a 2.5-liter inline-six engine that has been upgraded with Weber carburetors. Other enhancements and maintenance refreshes include a two-tone horn, LED taillights and signal lights, AM/FM/CD stereo, and new master cylinder and brake kit, alternator, and timing chain. The car shows 46,400, which the seller believes is original.
