Description

OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE

America celebrated its bicentennial in 1976, and while the decade was marked with inflation, recession, two oil crises, and a general feeling of malaise, you could still buy a classic American “land yacht.” Introduced in 1971, General Motors took the yachting theme to the extreme with the last GM hardtops, and the last truly full-size cars. Over at Buick, that would be the luxurious Electra model, and with all-new downsized cars coming for 1977, 1976 would be the last of the super cruisers. The most popular Electra was the Limited four-door hardtop at a starting price of $6,852, powered by Buick’s massive 455 cu-in V8 and riding on a generous 127 inch wheelbase.

This 1976 Buick Electra Limited Four-Door Hardtop is a true survivor, very well preserved with the 44,348 miles showing which is believed to be original. It’s finished appropriately enough in Liberty White with a contrasting Maroon cloth interior. The vinyl Landau roof treatment was available only on the Limited. Through years of low mile driving this 1976 Electra Limited is, as Buick’s brochure stated, “The kind of car you’ve worked hard to earn. The kind of car you deserve.”
