Description

OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE

The BMW R 60/6, part of BMW's iconic "slash six" series, was produced from 1974 to 1976 in Berlin, Germany, alongside its siblings, the R 75/6, R 90/6, and the sporty R 90 S. This model marked a significant evolution from the earlier "slash five" series, featuring several notable upgrades. The R 60/6 increased its engine displacement from 500 cc to 600 cc, providing enhanced power and performance. For the first time, front disc brakes were introduced, improving safety and braking efficiency.

Like its predecessors, the R 60/6 is powered by an air-cooled, four-stroke, opposed-twin (boxer) engine with hemispherical combustion chambers, known for its reliability and smooth performance. The motorcycle's classic shaft drive system ensures durability and a distinctive ride quality, making the R 60/6 a beloved model among vintage motorcycle enthusiasts.
