Description
The Checker Aerobus was produced between 1962-1977 with one primary goal in mind: to be a purpose-built limousine with the “greatest degree of comfort at a low, low cost.” With more room for luggage, more power, and more space than competitors at that time, the Checker Aerobus was a well-built, low-entry cost solution for the limousine market with a cost per seat of less than $600 when new.
Refurbished under current ownership, this 1974 Aerobus is presented as a largely original example benefiting from a repaint in yellow with taxi-style decals, reupholstered bench seats, and replacement carpet. The nine-door configuration leaves room for 12 passengers, and laps belts as well as a modern radio have been installed for rider comfort.
This Aerobus is equipped with the following optional equipment: TH350 three-speed automatic transmission, Posi-Traction rear differential, air conditioning, and roof market lights.
This 1974 Checker Aerobus is now offered with a digital brochure copy, an appraisal from 2020, and a clean Wisconsin title in the seller’s name.
