The Fiberfab MG TD Replica, known as the MiGi, was a kit car introduced in the 1970s by Fiberfab, a company renowned for its fiberglass-bodied replicas and custom car kits. Founded in 1964, Fiberfab initially produced body kits for sports cars before expanding into full vehicle kits. The MiGi was designed to replicate the classic 1950s MG TD roadster, offering enthusiasts a nostalgic driving experience at a fraction of the cost of an original. 

Built primarily on a Volkswagen Beetle chassis — in the case of this 1952 TD replica, a 1973 VW chassis — the MiGi utilized the Volkswagen’s engine and running gear, making it accessible and relatively easy to assemble for hobbyists. Later versions, released in 1977 as the MiGi II, offered improved fiberglass bodywork and even more accurate styling. Features included 1952 MG TD-matching fender arches and running boards, chrome bumpers and metal grille, headlamp stone guards and external horns, wire-style wheel covers and whitewall tires, and rear-mounted spare tire.  

The MiGi became one of the most popular MG TD replicas, contributing to the broader kit car movement that allowed individuals to build classic-style cars with modern components.
