Description

The Triumph TR6, produced from 1969 to '76, was the final and most refined iteration of the classic British TR sports car line. Styled by Karmann of Germany, the TR6 featured a squared-off, aggressive look that modernized the earlier TR4/TR5 design while retaining its traditional roadster charm.

Under the hood, the TR6 was powered by a 2.5-liter inline-six engine. U.S. models used twin carburetors and were detuned to around 106 horsepower to meet emissions standards. A four-speed manual transmission was standard, with optional overdrive for improved highway cruising.

By 1973, the TR6 had matured into a well-rounded sports car, blending British charm with a touch of German design influence. As the last model year before significant U.S. safety regulations altered the car’s appearance, the roadster retained the slim chrome bumpers and classic styling that enthusiasts favor today. The interior featured bucket seats, a wood veneer dashboard, and Smiths gauges—hallmarks of British sports car design.

More than 94,000 TR6s were built, with the majority exported to North America. This 1973 Triumph TR6 has received numerous upgrades, including new sports tune stainless exhaust, new Pirelli tires with new wheels, LED lighting all round, new interior (imported parts from John Skinner), new high stereo, and a number of new mechanical parts.
