Description
Celebrated for its elegant Pininfarina styling, lively twin‑cam performance, and open‑air driving experience, Alfa Romeo’s Spider remains one of the most enduring Italian sports cars of the postwar era. Introduced for 1970, the Series 2 marked a significant evolution of the model with its distinctive Kamm‑style tail, revised front end with rubber bumper inserts, and a new dash with a more modern design.
This '73 Alfa Romeo Spider was acquired by the seller in 2010, and over $117,000 is said to have been spent on refurbishment work undertaken between 2017 and 2019. As part of the refurbishment, the car's body was taken to bare metal, rust was repaired, and it was refinished in its current Pino Verde with a tan fabric top over a black vinyl interior.
Its 2.0-liter twin-cam four-cylinder engine is said to have been rebuilt, and it features a SPICA mechanical fuel-injection system with an injection pump reported to have been built by Ingram Enterprises. The "Nord" four-cylinder powers the rear wheels through a five-speed manual gearbox and a limited-slip differential that were refurbished in 2024. In 2025, the SPICA system and brakes were serviced and the windshield was re-installed.
The car is equipped with 14" Cromodora Turbina alloy wheels over power-assisted disc brakes, a wood-rim steering wheel, and a modern audio head unit, and it has been modified with European-market chrome bumpers and rubber inserts.
This 1973 Alfa Romeo 2000 Spider Veloce is now offered with refurbishment documentation, a New Hampshire state inspection report, and New Hampshire registration.

Servicing & Documentation
From the seller: "The SPICA fuel‑injection pump was rebuilt by Wes Ingram. Their process is that you send them your pump and, after several months, they return it rebuilt. No rebuilds were handled directly by me through Ingram. One rebuild was arranged through the shop performing work on the vehicle, and the other was handled by a shop in Vermont that had a spare SPICA unit to send to Ingram. This circumstance explains how I ended up with two rebuilt SPICA pumps. To clarify, I do not have any invoices from Ingram directly, but he rebuilt both."
