Description

As classic European sports cars go the early “longhood” Porsche 911 is about as classic as they come. Available with a variety of engine sizes, two different body styles, and a seemingly endless amount of fantastic color choices, the 911 - especially in coupe form - is the result of Porsche’s tireless efforts to improve the breed through racing. Constructed with a host of competition-level technology, Porsche endowed the 911 with forged aluminum wheels, dry-sump lubrication, torsion bar suspension, a dog-leg transmission, and a lightweight magnesium engine case. Truly fantastic stuff! Naturally, in the 50-odd years since production, many early 911s have been modified with “sports purpose” intent in much the same manner as their factory competition brethren.

Lowered and upgraded, this factory Albert Blue 911 T Coupe features all manner of interesting and desirable sporting modifications. The car is powered by a Weber carbureted 2.7-liter magnesium-cased engine from a 1976 911 S. According to the consignor, the original engine, a 2.2-liter with serial number 6117366 is included in the sale with additional parts. Not content with a simple increase in displacement, the car features a dual outlet sport exhaust, suspension modifications, and a Personal sports steering wheel.
