Description
The 1969 Ford F-600 Series encompassed Ford’s fifth-generation medium-duty truck lineup, known for its rugged design and versatility. Built primarily for commercial and industrial use, the F-600 was a Class 6 truck with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 19,500 pounds. It was commonly used as a grain hauler, flatbed, or dump truck, and was favored by farmers and contractors for its durability. The F-600 had an increased GVWR of 20,000 pounds.
The 1969 F-600 featured a 330 cubic-inch HD FT V8 engine, paired with a New Process 435 four-speed manual transmission and an Eaton two-speed rear axle. Its 156-inch wheelbase supported a cab-and-chassis configuration, allowing for various body upfits. The truck retained the cab design of Ford’s light-duty pickups but had reinforced fenders and a solid front axle to accommodate heavier loads.
This 1969 F-600 has been reimagined from its original freight-hauling configuration by shortening it by 5 feet and adding LED lighting, a crawl-through sleeper, fresh gray paint, and interior upgrades.

Ownership History
The Iowa consignor of this 1969 Ford F-600 truck purchased it from a farmer in Illinois in 2004. It had been sitting since 1994. As part of the truck’s restoration/rebuild, the seller says he “shortened it about 5 feet, moved all the spring hangers, and lowered it. It has all-new brake components, including every line, the wheel cylinders, and all brake hardware.”
