Description

OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE

The 1969 Chevrolet Yenko Super Camaro was a high-performance muscle car born from a collaboration between Chevrolet and Pennsylvania dealer Don Yenko. Due to GM’s corporate ban on installing engines larger than 400 cubic inches in the Camaro, Yenko used the Central Office Production Order (COPO) system to bypass this restriction. The result was the COPO 9561 Camaro, equipped with a factory-installed 427-cubic inch L72 V8 rated at 425 horsepower. Yenko added distinctive touches including “Yenko/SC” graphics, a Stewart-Warner tachometer, and custom headrests. Super Stock Magazine (April 1969) reported, “The demonstrator car stopped the quarter-mile timer after 11.94 seconds from the start, blasting across the finish line at 114.5 miles per hour.”

Only 201 Yenko Super Camaros were built in 1969, and with such rarity and legendary performance, the price of a genuine is far beyond to means of most. Thankfully, Yenko’s formula for success can be duplicated today. This Yenko Super Camaro tribute offered by the Burnyzz November Collection has fuel-injected 396 power, a close-ratio four-speed manual, and the iconic look of a true Yenko. This Camaro is now offered at no reserve with a car cover and a clean title.
