Description

After two years of anticipation, the 1967 Camaro arrived as Chevrolet’s bold answer to Ford’s Mustang. By 1969, the Camaro had evolved into an even sharper, more aggressive machine. Its squared-off wheel arches, V-shaped grille, vented rear quarter panels, and sleek rear valance gave it a commanding presence on the road. And buyers could choose from more than 130 factory options, making customization nearly limitless.

The up-level Camaro SS was offered with 350ci or 396ci V8s backed by a manual or automatic transmissions, and featured a heavy-duty suspension, wider wheels, and power front disc brakes. Distinctive styling cues included a unique hood, black grille (silver on black SS models), and SS badging on the grille, fenders, and taillight panel. With its combination of raw power and striking design, it’s no wonder that the 1969 Camaro SS remains a coveted performance car to this day.

This four-speed manual equipped 1969 Camaro SS left the factory finished in LeMans Blue over black bucket seats with a 350ci V8, and reportedly underwent a body-off cosmetic and mechanical refurbishment in 2017 that culminated with swapping in a rebuilt and upgraded Chevrolet 396ci big-block V8. Its replacement sheetmetal has been finished in factory-correct LeMans Blue with white stripes, while black factory bucket seats remain fitted.

Reportedly driven less than 25 miles since the engine swap was completed, this Camaro SS is now offered with records since 2016 and a clean Ohio title in the seller’s name.
