Description
Launched in 1964, the Gran Sport (GS) was Buick’s answer to the newly released Pontiac GTO. First offered through Buick's in-dealer parts department as a series of over-the-counter components or installed directly via the adjacent service department, the high-performance Stage 1 package was a massive upgrade to the already formidable GS 400, upholding Buick’s “Fast with Class” reputation.
Featuring a repaint in red during a cosmetic refurbishment completed in 2020, this GS400 convertible was first delivered to Mann Buick of Adrian, Michigan, and optioned from the factory with both Stage 1 Equipment and Rallye Road Control packages. Amenities include power-assisted brakes and steering, power-adjustable driver’s seat, power windows, and air conditioning.
One of just 131 Stage 1 GS400 convertibles produced in 1969, this example reportedly received a replacement frame, rear quarter panels, floor pans, and trunk pan during the 2020 refurbishment, and servicing said to have been completed is highlighted below.
This 1969 Buick GS400 Stage 1 Convertible is now offered with multiple keys, service books, owner’s manuals, a reproduction window sticker, and a clean Arizona title in the seller’s name.
