Description

OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE

In 1968, GM’s A-bodies were restyled with rounded sheet metal, longer hoods, and shorter rear decks. Available in pillared coupe, hardtop, and convertible body styles, the new generation rode on a perimeter frame with a 112” wheelbase, three inches shorter than the previous car’s.

Oldsmobile’s Cutlass S (a separate model from the Supreme) was aimed at the youth market and wore unique touches like hood louvers to differentiate it. The S was powered by a 250ci six-cylinder, or a 350ci Rocket V8 in two-barrel 250- or four-barrel 310-horsepower variants, and backed by 3- or 4-speed manuals or a 2-speed Jetaway Drive automatic.

The seller has owned this Cutlass S for 25 years, and states that the factory 350ci V8 has been replaced by a modified, professionally-built 455ci unit. Its front and rear suspension and steering system have reportedly been rebuilt, the interior has been refreshed and upgraded, it wears aftermarket 17” wheels, and it was recently refinished in Sangria Red Metallic.

This tastefully-modified Cutlass S Convertible is now offered at no reserve with its factory 14" wheels, some spare parts, and a clean New Jersey title in the seller’s name.
