The Fairlady 1600, better known in North America as the Datsun 1600, was among the more interesting Japanese creations to capture the hearts of sports car enthusiasts. With input from Count Albrecht von Goertz, the handsome body is finished with features like a surprisingly modern arrangement of coil-sprung, independent front suspension, and rear leaf springs. These Datsun Roadsters are still a wonderful alternative for anyone looking for something a little different from your typical vintage sports car.

Ownership History

As stated by the consignor, this 1968 Datsun 1600 Roadster was purchased new by the original owner in 1968 who kept the car until 1971. It was then sold to their friends, who kept the car until the summer of 2007. The current owner purchased the car in 2007 from a friend who owned the car for a brief period of time.
