Description

OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE

In 1967, Ford introduced a bold redesign of the Thunderbird, highlighted by the addition of the four-door Landau sedan. This new model stood out with its unique forward-opening “suicide” rear doors, which incorporated part of the roof, providing a distinctive look and practical access to both front and rear compartments. The Landau featured exclusive styling elements such as a padded vinyl roof and gleaming "S" bars on the C-pillar, enhancing its luxury appeal. Inside, the car offered full-width seating for five passengers and interiors designed for elegance and comfort, with options for tufted upholstery in luxurious cloth, vinyl, or distinctive leather, complemented by simulated wood-grain appliqués and deep, loop-pile carpeting.

For those seeking power, the Thunderbird offered a range of engine options, including the formidable 428 cu-in V8 "Q-code" engine, capable of delivering 345 horsepower. This engine provided a thrilling driving experience, whether paired with a manual transmission or Ford’s new SelectShift Cruise-O-Matic automatic transmission. The Thunderbird’s exterior design featured full-width grilles, hidden headlights, and full-width taillights, adding to its striking presence on the road.
