Description

“How do you add excitement to an American original — an original which is already the most exciting, most acclaimed new car in history?” Ford’s Mustang brochure asked that question, then answered it with the new and improved 1967 model. The Mustang received its first major redesign with a wider, more aggressive front grille, more pronounced side scoops, and concave taillights. The Mustang also grew slightly in overall size to accommodate larger engines and improve overall performance.

The interior was also upgraded, and safety features were new or improved, including a dual-circuit brake master cylinder and optional front disc brakes. Body styles included the coupe, convertible, and fastback, and special editions like the Shelby GT350 and GT500 further elevated the Mustang's performance credentials.

This 1967 Ford Mustang Hardtop received a complete overhaul by its new owner in 2007 with numerous exterior, mechanical, and interior improvements, such as new bumpers, grille, and paint, new engine components, and new upholstery.

Ownership History

The New Jersey seller of this 1967 Ford Mustang Coupe has owned it since April 2007. It was purchased new in May 1967 from Werner Ford in Garfield, New Jersey. The owner and his son overhauled the car shortly after buying it. When the son decided to purchase a new Mustang, this one went into the garage, where it has been for about 15 years. The owner says, "I start it up weekly and take it for rides around town.”
