Description
Chevrolet’s second-generation Corvette, produced from 1963 to 1967, marked a significant evolution for the iconic sports car. Known as the “Sting Ray,” the C2 introduced a sleek, aerodynamic design with hidden headlights and advanced engineering, including independent rear suspension and from 1965, four-wheel disc brakes.
The 1967 model, the final iteration of the C2 generation, featured several refinements and improvements over its predecessors, making it one of the most sought-after Corvettes in history. Among the Sting Ray’s options was no less than five big-block 427 engines from 390 to over 500 horsepower. Aesthetically, the ’67 Corvette was also subtly refined. Car and Driver magazine reported in May 1967, “Zora Arkus-Duntov, the man most responsible for the Corvette’s success, and his cadre of engineers have concentrated on detail refinements, to the obvious satisfaction of not only the nearly 100,000 Corvette owners, but also to a sampling of Car and Driver’s nearly 400,000 readers, who voted it the Best All-Around Car of 1967 — over very stiff competition.”
This 1967 Corvette Convertible is wearing factory original Goodwood Green (983) paint and powered by a period correct L36 390-hp 427 V8. It was restored around 2000 by Bair’s Corvette and a prior owner.

Ownership History
This 1967 Corvette Sting Ray was restored roughly around 1999 to 2000 by the previous owner who had Bair's Corvette do about 80 percent of the restoration. The previous owner completed the remaining 20 percent of the restoration on his own which included the engine rebuild, full interior, and all the exterior trim. It is unknown who rebuilt the engine.
The current owner acquired the car sometime between 2010 and 2011. The 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible has the (L36) 427/390 engine with the Muncie 4-Speed manual transmission, and 3.70:1 rear end gear ratio. The engine is not the original one that came in the car from the factory, but it does have a period correct engine in it based on the block casting number for the 1967 model year. The original interior color was Green, but the car now has a Black leather interior. The Corvette currently has side exhaust but that is not original. The consignor states, “The estimated miles put on the car since the current owner acquired it back in 2012 is about 1,000 miles. The car has been stored indoors since the current owner acquired it.”
